Pizza Face is a mixed-media painting on card by UK artist Michael Tierney. It is inspired by the huge of amount of cardboard packaging accumulated by online shopping over the current pandemic and his recycling of this material as a sketch pad. Tierney's work takes inspiration from the hyper-colourful fantasy worlds and creatures found within video games such as Super Mario and Katamari. This painting contextualises the battles we fight within our visually over stimulated brains - keeping up with rolling news coverage and social media. It is a celebration of colour and form in the artist's unique and riotous style. (unframed on card - requires framing)
