I have been interested in Hungarian embroideries for many years. But I have never painted them on canvas so far. Now it is the time to work with some of my visual cultural heritage. Paint it on a thick oil basic, or a blank big white canvas, paint them liberally or precisely does not matter. The point would be to transfer these motifs from pillow cover, sheet, suits where they belonged , on to my art world and place them on my canvases. This one is painted with several kind of yellows and a cobalt blue. The basic was painted very thickly with a root brush one year earlier. 70x80 cm Oil on canvas Ships in a crate.
