VIEW IN MY ROOM
BIPOC street vendors have became a common view in everyday life at most Spanish cities, the only way, although a pretty precariosu one, of making a living for many refugees (mostly Africans, but also Arabs, Latino or Indopakistani people). This painting tires, somehow, to stand as a humble vindication for all the people killed, murdered,at and by the European Southern border, currenlty one of the biggest and most dreadful mass graves and maybe the most obvious example of how necropolitics works. The tittle is taken from a beautiful "cante por guajiras", one of many flamenco styles with African (Afro american, in fact) roots, sung by Juanito Valderrama.
