It was 37th in Florence. We had just left the Uffizi Gallery. Then I was able to experience what is called Sthendal Syndrome: my spirit wandered lost in the sunny streets full of tourists in the city. Fortunately, an attentive and careful female hand took me to the hotel. In the bedroom I had a dream about Dante Alighieri that took me to walk around Florence, but it was not Florence, it was the dream of Florence presented by Dante, a dream within a delusion. This picture is born out of that episode, more as a reference to memory than as a description. The expressive brushstroke continues to look for relationships and dialogues in color. The Conté crayon pencil adds the graphics that connect me to the drawing. Thus, color and design continue a conversation / controversy between Florentines and Venetians, which spans the centuries.
