Portrayal of the intricate organic textures of coral reefs and various sea anemones has always been inspirational! All the heavy relief textural elements in this triptych artwork- inspired by beautiful ocean lives are individually handcut, carved and modelled using repurposed plastics and assembled on a canvas. Coral reefs are the largest living structures, which are are now facing the biggest threat due to global warming and climate change. And is giving out their call for survival. The corals are in endosymbiotic relationship with the algae which supply energy for them. But these algae is being killed by the temperature raise in ocean water. I started doing upcycled artworks after a pledge to work for a greener planet. Found and collected single-use plastics with different textures are upcycled to get unique textures on my artworks. So by collecting one of my original works you are indirectly becoming part of my art journey for a cause. The artwork is a triptych with 3 circular canvases, each of dimension 25cm diameter (making it to a total dimension of 25X75cm). The art will come ready to hang. It could be installed in various ways and on any wall space to add a vibrant and contemporary vibe. Certificate of authenticity will be attached.
