The first form of respect arises when the human being gives value to life, be it his own, that of the Neighbor or that of the Planet. The outstretched hand, the comparison with the other, empathy with Nature, are all aspects of the same essence. The moment a man picks up a gun, he stops being a person, renounces his nature of being sentient and falls into the illusory abyss of power. In this work I wanted to represent the devastation that is created in the depths of a human being when this happens. A bullet from a war rifle stuck in the soft matter that transforms during impact. An instant that is crystallized in a silent scream through which the material itself tears and writhes painfully, torn to shreds, it loses its smooth and soft shape, scaling like a reptile in metamorphosis. The devastation due to the penetration of the foreign element, angrily bearer of hatred, is emphasized by the propagation of the gold contained therein, in thin streams, like metastases of a cancer bearing an ephemeral wealth that overwhelms and sweeps away all forms of respect, especially for themselves. Yet ... and yet the matter, in that infinite instant, folds in on itself as in an act of welcome, of tenderness, almost of love towards so much violence, with absurd and absolute respect towards the assailant, leading to a message of hope and life that wants to go beyond any oppression.

Born in Legnano (Italy) in 1963, the author is an Italian painter and sculptor who lives and creates in Inveruno (Italy). Despite having embarked on a course of technical-scientific studies that have led him to achieve brilliant results as a manager in important companies operating in the design of new technologies, he has always dedicated a large part of his creative energies to artistic activities. Initially directed to the musical and literary genre, also with regard to the passion for photography and thanks to the teachings of his father Eugenio, he transposed his artistic research into the pictorial field, initially painting according to the dictates of the Impressionist trend, then moving into an Abstract and Conceptual, enhancing its major expressive stimuli. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and national art competitions, in which he has obtained a good response from critics and the public, as well as flattering awards. In the last year, the artistic vein finds a further expressive modality in sculpture, a world certainly more demanding than painting, but which offers hitherto unexplored and highly satisfying additive sensorialities. In each work the commitment is always maximum in offering an "emotional key" to be used in self-discovery: the work of art understood as a means and not as an end. Recently, some works have been brought together in a virtual place where it is possible to have an organic vision of the artistic utopia of a man who does not care about the market and who never stops looking at the world with the clarity of the closed eyes of a child smiles.
