Two holes have been drilled at the ends of 19 bamboo sticks. Two black cords are threaded through the holes. By alternating long and short bamboo sticks, it is possible to hang the 19 sticks on a hook in the wall by gravity. The length of the sticks, where the holes are drilled, the length of the cords and the resilience of the cords determine how the sticks hang and the distance between the sticks. Themes of Nico Kok such as: use of material properties, how the work is made, use of gravity, horizontal/vertical, etc. are reflected in this work.
