I was inspired to this little sculpture originally made in clay and then here by mould into plaster, patinated with copper, by a sculpture called "Skulptur 1940-45 by the Danis-French artisk Sonja Ferlov Mancoba (1911-1984). I made it while looking at pictures of Mancoba's piece but changed it up at the "head" and it is not a copy neither in form nor in size. The "head" and the "eye" on the upper narrow part of the figure is balanced by the broader rear part of the "body".

Between childhood and my children's childhood I nearly never was creative in this way. But then, when my children began to play with clay and plaster, I returned to the creative arts. First, I worked with and attended classes in clay figure modelling. Then I also worked with more or less abstract sculpture making in paper clay, wood, plaster, resins - and got occupied with mould making in silicones and castings in plaster and resins. Also, a few works of paintings. Born 1951. Living in central Copenhagen, Denmark.
