Sculpture carves into material to take on shape, just like History navigates through events to deliver the sense of life in the Present. They both share the same process of selection and cutting out, in search of meaning—so that we all can stuck it on our conscience. And this life-size piece chooses to represent the myth underlying the awakening consciousness of one of the protagonists of our times, as if it were removed from history and dropped into the realm of Storytelling—just so you know, for the sake of Hope. This is where it all started. In the absolute time of Storytelling. What if you could remove a single event from the course of History, and make it mythical while seeking, in the Myth, the solution to the tragedy of Life? Putin, the Child, backs a rat into a corner—and turns this into a behavioral paradigm to show how reaction is mandatory when cornered. Once upon a time, Putin, or rather Putìn, which is one way of saying “child” in Venetian dialect, was quite a common family name in the area surrounding Venice—some say, one of them walked through the Ural mountains. Some say. What if that founding Myth, the Epiphany experienced by the most powerful man on Earth who is changing History—what if that Narrative, which brought him into adulthood, could be taken out from the chain of events and remain within the realm of Mythology? And rest in Peace within Storytelling, as a bed time story… Would this world without peace, this never-ending story, could it be narrated again with a different ending? If that Child and that Rat were enclosed into mythology, would the lands of Russia and Europe find peace in our Present Time?

SCULPTURE TELLS RIVETING STORIES. Artworks tell stories with a physical presence, one linked to Space&Time, one hinted at by the patron, one in the artist’s interpretation--and the materials have their saying too. II The path we choose is to keep track of significant meaning over time, sharing values through a creative narrative. How we do it? Solid planning, in-depth materials research, lateral thinking, and rivets will nail inspiration to its core.
