Title: "The Christian" "The Christian" is an FB Gelatine Fine Art Print that encapsulates a deeply personal narrative within Loredana Denicola's photography project, 'I am Your Mirror.' Inspired by the artist's life experiences, it bravely explores themes of personal identity and resilience. The subject, who endured severe bullying during school due to a medical procedure, reflects on its lasting emotional impact. This period of bullying, primarily from classmates, occurred during a formative phase, leading to self-doubt and insecurity. However, a positive turn in the subject's life, marked by a loving marriage and a supportive spouse, inspired a declaration of self-acceptance. "The Christian" symbolises faith and the belief in the human form as a divine creation, independent of societal judgments. An award-winning piece, it invites viewers to contemplate themes of identity, self-acceptance, and resilience in the face of adversity while celebrating the beauty of the human form as a reflection of divine creation.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and documentary photographer based in Italy, operating between Italy and London. With an initial background in Economics and corporate experience in Italy, I transitioned to photography after discovering an old 35mm Praktica on a London street. In London, I completed a certificate in Photographic Professional Practice at St Martin's College of Arts, followed by a full-time course in analogue photography and darkroom printing. Subsequently, I delved into the world of freelance press photography, working as a paparazzo for three years. My artistic focus revolves around the profound trust in human relationships. Since 2013, I've been documenting impactful stories in London, addressing topics like sexuality, gender equality, prejudice, love, abuse, negative thinking, and illness. I explore the depths of individuals through self-discovery, often engaging in conversations with strangers encountered online or on the street. Using photography as a therapeutic medium, I confront myself in the process. Photography becomes a live, performative act, where art materialises in the moment of connecting with another human being. The observer becomes the observed, and in the mirror, the person is reflected. In 2018, I joined Action Hybride, a Paris-based collective of international artists. The collective focuses on organising interviews, films, exhibitions, performances, and talks related to the body, memory, and the human condition. I have exhibited internationally in cities including London, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Rome, Brindisi, and Taranto.
