My cicerotone version of the famous painting by Basil Gogos of actress Ingrid Pitt’s vampire character in the 1970 movie “The Vampire Lovers". I am the creator of this new mix-media approach to halftone technique, the "cicerotone", which is achieved using corrugated paper to paint on, giving the viewer an interesting sense of texture and intricate details when looked at close proximity. At distance the optical illusion that reproduces the photographic effect of halftone emerges in its full force. Ships in a box, ready to frame as desired. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.

My artistic voice is the product of a pop-graffiti fusion, heavily influenced by the pop art of the 60s and 70s, as well as street art aesthetics from the years 2000. My main technical approach is mix-media art, with intense use of high-contrast saturated colors and a plethora of images, textures and fragments of graffiti lettering, reminiscent of old walls that have accumulated layers and layers of advertisements, posters, paint and graffiti over time. By mixing disparate elements in my concepts - like graffiti and classical old movies stars portraits - I aim to make the impact of something that feels both fresh and timeless, infusing my art with a sense of nostalgia, while at the same time making it feel current and relevant. As an artist, I try to create works that are visually stunning and intellectually engaging, seeking to bring joy and contentment in a celebration of life, as a reminder to embrace the moment and find beauty even in the least likely of environments.
