The last two years have allowed us to reflect on the idea of borders and how our behaviors and identities change. This period has helped us explore our true selves, understand who we are, and rebuild our inner relationships. In the case of an artist, the inward journey during isolation can unleash a frenzy of creativity. This dimension leads them to explore new languages and new forms of creativity. Every human being restarts multiple times in life, a cathartic process through which we find the joy of living, improve our external and internal relationships, and give an "intrinsic meaning to our existence" as a whole. In the case of Amin, living in close contact with nature and isolated from the world was her creative nourishment. When something so surprising happens that upends our lives, like the pandemic, it is our ability to see beyond it, to see life as a prize and therefore honor and respect it that counts.

Italy
Rasha Amin is an Egyptian multidisciplinary artist based in Italy, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Helwan University Cairo / Egypt in 2003. Her work has been exhibited internationally in both solo and group shows, combining painting, drawing, installation, and experimental video art. Amin has found an intersection point between them and subsequently developed her own visual and conceptual vocabulary. Her body of work is about the idea of deconstructing different aspects in her life through the themes of time, memory, and emotions and rebuild them again to create a new connection and different meaning that explores a new existence.
