This is part of a series of drawings commissioned by the Mercosur Biennial, Porto Alegre, Brazil and exhibited there in 2011. It is made with cochineal ink, using a fountain pen. The image is based on the shapes of the cochineal, an insect that was used since antiquity for dyeing an red color. It will be sent securely rolled in a tube.
