The following works is born from the union between a Napoleonic lead bullet and a silk paper frottage from the walls of the Sant Felip Neri Church in Barcelona. On January 30, 1938, a bombardment by Franco's army caused several projectiles to fall next to the Plaza de Sant Felip Neri, resulting in the death of 42 people, most of them school children. Even today you can see the traces left on the façade of the church. After the war, the official version and the story in the classrooms was that these were bullet impacts caused by Napoleonic shootings. In this work I am interested in the concepts behind it such as history, lies, death, scars and forgiveness. The injures left on the façade by the bombing that have not been repaired, the lies told to change the story and the beauty of the objects that caused or received death. The gesture of squash the silk paper or paper scars against the Napoleonic lead bullet becomes an exculpatory hug in search of being healed or repaired once the silk paper is unfolded by the collector.

(Barcelona, 1983) Grandson of a historian and writer, son of an art dealer and brother of an art curator. Like a poet who makes words rest over time, my art has born after a long reflection. In my work I try to address themes, concepts of life such as innocence, desire, beauty, lies, wounds, spirituality or death with the Bartleby series. With my work I seek to raise awareness and promote critical thinking. I like that whoever acquires my work makes it their own and spends time thinking about her, which is why each work is delivered with a contract.
